What SaaS applications should you be offering your business customers?
There has been a renaissance of independent retailers over the last
decade. Whilst small U.S. retailers entered 2016 with steady growth in
sales, SMEs in food services saw an acceleration in growth of 8%.
Independent retail on the whole is a growing industry, and artisan cafes in
particular are ranked as one of the most thriving segments of this revival.
Coffee culture has become somewhat of a phenomenon over the last 10 years. By the end of 2015, Britons had spent £7.9bn pounds in coffee shops, whilst the ‘coffeehouse’ industry in the U.S. was forecast to generate
over $32bn dollars in revenue in 2016 alone.
Hand in hand with this trend is a rise in independent bakeries, a trade long preceeding supermarkets which has seen a resurge since the recession. After weathering the storm of financial turbulence, independent food vendors have managed to reclaim the high-street. Older businesses are now looking for new and innovative ways to streamline their processes and compete with independent start-ups, who are using affordable, cloud based
tools to run their businesses more efficiently.
The Stack eBook series was compiled from research we conducted, interviewing SMES from four major industry verticles, analysing their key challenges and assessing the best cloud apps on the market that meet these challenges.
In our second of four eBooks, we look at SMEs in 'Independent Retail' to explore what SaaS applications are helping them to build better businesses.
